This afternoon, a student experienced a medical emergency at the Wylie Elementary campus. Our campus nurse and administrators responded to the classroom to assist, and an ambulance responded to provide further care. To allow easier access for first responders, the campus was placed on a brief "hold."
Our thoughts are with the student and their family during this time and we wish them a speedy recovery. Thank you for your understanding.

UPDATE: The source of the smoke at WEP and WPS was traced to a malfunction in the air conditioning equipment. There is no fire. All students are safe and will be returning to classes shortly. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

Students at the WEP and WPS are being evacuated due to the presence of smoke in the common areas of the building. Fire crews are responding to the scene to investigate. All students are safe at this time.
We ask that parents please refrain from coming to the campuses at this time. We will provide updates as more information becomes available. Thank you for your understanding.

An ambulance was dispatched to our Wylie Campuses a few minutes ago to assist a child nutrition employee who was experiencing a minor medical emergency. The campus was placed on a brief "hold" while first responders assisted the employee. All students are safe. The campus should return to normal classes soon.

Last week, our Kindergarten students performed a square dance! Square dancing isn’t just a blast, it’s a fantastic learning experience! Through this classic dance, we practiced counting, rhythm, leadership, teamwork, listening, and coordination. Thank you to all the families who joined in!

Power has been restored at Wylie Primary and Wylie Elementary. Thank you for your patience as utility crews worked to resolve the issue. Schools are operating as normal.

Check out everything we have going on in March!

Today, we had an amazing visit from the Southwest-Southland Dairy Farmers' Mobile Dairy! 🥛🐮
Students got to see a real dairy cow up close and learn all about the milking process! The presenter showed us how milk goes from the farm to our tables, teaching us about dairy production. The students had a great time!

We have an exciting week!

We had so much fun at our Reading on the Range event last night! We rotated through stations and shopped at the Book Fair. A huge thank you to everyone who came to join us to make this night special!

Come out to see us tonight and grab a frito pie while you are here!

The Wylie Primary Book Fair is just around the corner, and we can't wait!

Join us next Monday at Wylie Primary!

Last night at our school board meeting, a few of our students had the honor of leading the pledges! Dakston Witcher, Madison Flores, Keller Irvin, and Tegan Britton did a wonderful job! But that's not all! Our two counselors, Mrs. Wright and Ms. Breedlove, were also recognized for being amazing!

Mrs. Sasha and Ms. Laci took their classes to Eco Land in Kilgore yesterday. Eco Land is a hands-on, multi-sensory experience that make learning about our planet, its creatures, and the environment so fun!

Let's show some love to our school counselors at Wylie Primary! Not to brag, but we think we have the best of the best!
Happy Counselor Appreciation Week!

We have a busy but fun month ahead of us!

Wylie Primary celebrated the 100th day of school yesterday! It was a day filled with laughter, creativity, and learning as we reflected on all we’ve accomplished so far this year. Here's to 100 days of growth, learning, and friendship – and many more to come! 🥳👏

Next week, we’re celebrating Kindness Week!
